Restless Nights

WOW! Oh the sleepless nights! Baby Eden just couldn't sleep last night and I stayed up with her the entire night. She was fine when grandma put her to sleep but in the middle of the night she woke up crying hysterically. This was about 1:30AM and she didn't sleep until about 4AM. I picked her up and soothed her but she wouldn't have it. Then I tried feeding her and she was becoming fussy and frustrated by the fact that there wasn't milk coming down fast enough when she was hungry. My heart was beating so fast and I was crying inside because she was crying. I just carried her the entire night and put her on my chest and she slept sobbing for a bit but finally fell asleep.


Sometimes I feel like I'm an unfit mother if I can't sooth my baby right away but I know it's normal to feel this way. She's so precious and I never want to see her cry. She's the perfect thing in the world and I love her to death. There will be many more nights like this to come and I'm definitely preparing for it.
